In 1995 Melroe and its parent Clark organization were acquired by Ingersoll-Rand Company of Woodcliff Lake, N.J.

This meant that in 1996 the first excavator scale model was born with the Ingersoll-Rand logo on it.

The X 325 C-series was exactly the same scale model as its predecessor, except for the I.R. logo on the engine hood.

Again Clover was selected to manufacturer the model in 1/25.

The model features still had operational cylinders, 360° rotation and rubber tracks.

The opening rear hood with replica Kubota engine was of course kept.
