In October 2002 The X 331 radio controlled Bobcat excavator was updated.

Although everybody expected the D-Series (Delta) version, the X 331 only received new decals and box.

The updated X 331 was exactly the same model as its predecessor, except for the new I.R. logo on the engine hood and the new "cat head" logo on the sides and boom.

 

Features of the updated X 331 radio controlled were:

- Full wireless radio controller.

- Full drive function; forward, reverse and 360° turning radius.

- Full operational boom, dipper and bucket.

- Manually adjustable grapple and dozer blade.

- 360° house swing.

- Replica rubber tracks and undercarriage design.

- Authentic new decals.

- Functioning work lights. Included was a power pack and battery charger.

The updated X 331 radio controlled excavator came in a display box and was scaled down to 1/10.
